DD6HW7 Evaluate a Source

DD6HW7 Evaluate a Source

  • Sáez-López, J., Román-González, M., & Vázquez-Cano, E. (2016). Visual programming languages integrated across the curriculum in elementary school: A two year case study using “Scratch” in five schools. Computers & Education, 97, 129-141. doi:10.1016/j.compedu.2016.03.003

The source that I decided to evaluate was Visual programming languages integrated across the curriculum in elementary school: A two year case study using “Scratch” in five schools. This article was published just over two months ago and is still very new. This article was written for the soul purpose of trying to get student to come to like and understand coding better. The author himself is born and raised in Spain and the study was conducted in Spain also. The information throughout the article was correct and accurate because I checked up on the sources found that they matched the information that was said in the article. The article covers the topic in a ton of depth and went over all of the information possible to make the reader understand to fullest extent. Finally the article was not biased at all and showed multiple viewpoints and showed why the Scratch application is the best choice for children to learn coding at a young age.
