DD3HW2 P#1 Needs Assessment

Project 1 Needs Assessment

This technical communication is going to be created with screenshots and step-by-step instructions on sheets of paper or through email on a PDF on how to create a Google Map. The email or pieces of paper will be sent to the employees of the Company and will be extremely easy to read and understand so that the employee can follow the process smoothly.

The audience is going to be within the whole company because each individual throughout our company does an extreme amount of traveling and this will force them to become familiar with their surroundings. The company only consists of 30 employees and will be able to answer anyone’s questions in a timely manner. These employees don’t need any technical experience to follow these instructions, which allows the employees to travel to future job meetings stress free, prepared, and organized.

Each employee will be sent an email or a handout of papers depending on which they prefer. The instructions will only be given in English since that’s is all the employees language. The instructions will be given in Adobe Acrobat only so each employee will have to have the right software installed in order to access the instructions. I will a download include a link of instructions to that software and

The goal of the email and handouts is to inform employees on how to use Google maps and how to create Google Maps. This will allow employees to become more educated about the places they are traveling and become more familiar with their surroundings. Working with this kind of new technology will hopefully get employees familiar with finding the fastest routes and shortcuts to get to meetings.

The best medium would be the PDF document online because it will include links screenshots and other material to help the employees ease through the process while already working on their computers.

The topics that will be covered in the making of a Google Map will be:
1.    Create Your Own Map
2.    Title Your Maps
3.    Reopen Your Previously Created Map
